This is an Anniversary Speech Presented by me Dr Faith Sopuruchukwu Ogbonna-Imoh, the President General CEO Foundation, on her 4th year anniversary celebration of the NGO CEO foundation.
With optmost humility and due sense of love and patriotism, I bring to us my speech on this day, the 25th day of September 2024, a special day our God Almighty Jehovah Allah has made and blessed..
I was introduced to the CEO Foundation by my sweet mum. When I joined, I assumed it was just an ordinary WhatsApp group.
I, however, took my time to observe the group and then decided afterwards to fully commit and help the best way(s) I can.
I saw the advert to the ‘contest for the office of the president general’, of which I indicated interest because I wanted to put in my own quota to the development of a noble course.
I contested and did all that was required of me, including tree planting, which I contracted someone to execute on my behalf as I am not presently in Nigeria.
The entire process was an eye-opener for me as I loved the stories and the passion behind the establishment of this great organization.
I also loved the benevolent nature, optimism, and strong will powers that brought this tiny story to success.
I would love to summarise my speech with the story of the squirrel rodent, which is present in all the LGA groups of the organisation.
Global warming and climate change are worldwide problems of which scientists have continually warned us of the depletion of our planet earth’s protective layers, also known as the ozone layer.
The ozone layer, as we all know is helping to protect us from the direct effect of the sun which could cause (or are causing) more sickness to humans living on the earth including various cancers amongst many others.
The squirrel rodent rat plays a significant role on the eco-system, thereby helping to fight global warming and climate change to help curb its menace.
This tiny but unrecognised animal picks seeds and unknowingly plants them here and there. The seeds later germinate and turn into big trees, which absorbs the dangerous emissions from the atmosphere and gives us oxygen
This animal, as I said earlier, is not widely known, appreciated, or recognized, but they do not mind.
They continue doing what they know best without minding who is watching, appreciating, or recognizing its efforts in always playing a positive part without seeking praises.
In my service, we have been able to look beyond ourselves as an organization. We have welcomed individuals and have approved like-minded projects/activities that will help us in what we are doing while standing tall and firm in what we believe in
God helping us as we continue to look at our story of the TinyDonor, the Patriot, the Hummingbird and the See me for me, we must also endeavor to appreciate the Squirrel rodent who is in the LGA groups of this moonlight story, picking seeds and planting them far and near doing the best she can and always.
As you send your good wishes during our celebration, I urge you to kindly pray that God almighty Jehovah Allah will give us the strength to carry on in doing the best we can to achieve more successful stories.
More importantly, pray for wisdom to enable you as an individual to discover yourself and what you can do to help contribute your own quota into helping to solve some of our world problems; talking about peace, love, and unity is our norm, culture, and tradition. Therefore, here comes a passionate appeal to join hands, and let’s do this together.
I want to say a big thank you for making out time to join us today.
I am Yours Faithfully,
Dr Faith Sopuruchukwu Ogbonna-Imoh (RM, FPP, PhD, AFHEA)
